The Convent of S. Maria del Bambin Gesù

A Story of Spirituality and Renewal

Il Convento

Four Centuries of History, Tradition, and Harmony

The Convent of Santa Maria del Bambin Gesù, founded in the early 1600s, is a place filled with charm and spirituality. Commissioned by the Dukes of Giove, Asdrubale Mattei and Costanza Gonzaga, it was completed in 1626 as a retreat dedicated to prayer and contemplation.

Initially, the Convent housed the Order of the Reformed Friars Minor, and later the Marianist Fathers, who remained until 1966. Over the centuries, the building has undergone several phases of renovation and expansion, always preserving its aura of peace and serenity, framed by a stunning landscape of green hills and lush fields.

The Renewal

From Historic Residence to Exclusive Venue

In 2013, Steinar Moe Eiendom AS, a Norwegian company active in the international real estate sector, acquired the entire property, including the adjoining church and surrounding lands.

The renovation, completed in 2022, has bestowed the historic building with a refined simplicity.

Today, transformed from a private residence into an event venue, the Convent opens its doors to the public, offering a unique and captivating setting for celebrating any special occasion.
